In my paintings, my desire is to give significance to subjects that often go unnoticed.
I often wonder what kind of existence wide open spaces, crumbling structures, or everyday objects have had.

Untouched landscapes need to be preserved. Abandoned architecture begs to be saved.

The shapes and colors of found objects can exist together in a still life.

Early Western life, and preserving it on canvas, is important to me as well . . .

 I strive to record what I feel about these subjects,

 and to give them a permanent place in the world, not to be soon forgotten.
